transporting pts

Good morning,A little question I hope you can help me with:
1. Do you transport all patients with RN's?2. If not, do you have criteria to decide which patients need an RN for transport? Do you have a policy/protocol/guide you could share?3. How do you communicate report if an RN does not go and do you have a tool you could share?

1. No, we do not transport all pts with RNs. We phone report and send pts with our PACU unit aid.
2. However, paediatric pts, pts for ICU, step down or other monitored units are transported with an RN.
3. We phone report, sharing relevant data from our PACU record. The receiving nurse documents on a transfer of care record.

We have basically the same process as Trillium. Our transporting attendants are required to have yearly recertifcation of BCLS
