We do not give Versed to paeds preop. The OR nurse walks (or carries) the pateint to the OR suite. Then they have their choice of "flavors" of gases.
As kids are at increased risk of respiratory complications, only RNs transfer Paeds pts post sedation, in the event airway compromise/othe adverse event occurs.
